Bird Houses

It simply doesn't get any more eco-friendly than these!  These unique bird houses were hand-crafted from work boots and pots, otherwise destined for the dump.

These make a wonderful gift for bird watchers, a favorite cook, hardworker, or gardening enthusiast in your life! Unique addition to anyone's garden and they’ll become the talk of the neighborhood.

The bird houses will welcome house wrens & other smaller birds to an exciting new place to build a nest. (Yes, we’ve actually had birds live in the ones at our house!)

Hardworking Man's Boot Bird House
The boot has been secured to recycled lumber from a barn which is being torn down and the roof is made from scrap metal. Each bird house is ready for hanging. These smaller boots can be fastened to a stick & placed in a flower bed.

Once the young have hatched, cleaning out the bird house is simple—just loosen boot’s laces, turn upside down, & gently shake to remove the nesting materials. Once the boot is laced back up, it will be ready for the next nesting season.

Here's What Happens When You Stop Cooking Bird House
A wooden front (lumber from a demolished barn) been secured to the pot with screws, a unique perch was selected from the salvage, & a recycled metal roof was created to prevent rain from going inside.

Once the young have hatched, cleaning out the bird house is simple—just loosen the screws to remove the wooden front & remove the nesting materials. Once the front is secured again, it will be ready for the next nesting season.

These unique bird feeders were hand-crafted from vintage cups & saucers, otherwise destined for the dump.

The cup & saucer have been secured together. They feature a stainless steel spoon resting on the saucer.

These feeders are intended to be hung by the clear filament. The clear beads at the ends of the filament sparkle in the sun.

These cups & saucer are perfect as birdseed feeders or hummingbird feeders. Each feeder comes with a brightly colored tulle bag of bird seed to get you started on feeding your birds!

These make a wonderful gift for a coffee lover, tea cup collector, bird watcher or gardening enthusiast!
Garden in a Box
These collections are created in hopes of helping you create the perfect garden retreat!

Can include any or all of the following: windchime, bird house, bird feeder, bird seed, gardening gloves, plant tags, plantable paper tags, plant rooter, etc.
The eco-friendly owls have bodies are made from felt or fleece, accents are various fabric scraps, a beak made from orange felt, vintage buttons for eyes. The little owl is hanging from rick-rack, ribbon or something along those lines. Each is stuffed with leftover quilt batting to make it even more loveable.

The eyes, wings, beak are machine stitched on a vintage Singer Feather Weight machine. The button eyes are sewn by hand. The owl is assembled by hand, using embroidery thread in a blanket stitch.

Size is aproximately 4" tall by 3 1/2" wide (not including hanger).
